ALUMINUM CASTING AND MACHINED PARTS
Kirpart has strong expertise in High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) aluminum technologies and manufactures functional and safety-critical automotive components such as oil pans, precision-machined covers, and pump housings. With a high-pressure die casting machine park ranging from 400 to 1,900 tons, Kirpart offers a broad product portfolio and manufacturing capability for parts weighing from 50 grams up to 12 kg, ensuring high structural integrity, process stability, and repeatable quality even for complex geometries.
Post-casting operations are supported by high-precision CNC machining capabilities with tolerances down to 0.008 mm, enabling superior dimensional accuracy and surface quality on functional interfaces. Project- and part-specific die design and molding concepts are defined through advanced simulation tools combined with the engineering expertise of Kirpart, ensuring the right product is manufactured with the right tooling and the most suitable equipment configuration.
Throughout the entire production process, as well as during periodic inspections, comprehensive quality control procedures and project-specific testing equipment are applied to guarantee full compliance with customer specifications and to deliver defect-free, high-performance components.
Oil Pan
The oil pan is a component located at the bottom of the engine and serves as a reservoir for engine oil. During engine operation, oil is drawn from the oil pan by the oil pump and delivered to all moving parts to reduce friction and provide cooling. After completing its function, the oil returns to the oil pan. In this way, the oil pan is positioned at the center of the engine lubrication system, ensuring both oil storage and circulation. It also acts as a cover that partially protects the engine from external impacts.
Kırpart manufactures oil pans using the HPDC (High Pressure Die Casting) process and has mass production capability for designs with weights ranging from 3 kg to 6 kg. Thanks to our advanced casting infrastructure, high dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and repeatability are achieved, providing lightweight and durable oil pan solutions that comply with automotive standards.
Bracket Parts
Bracket components are critical fastening elements used in the machinery and automotive industries to connect, fix, or support different components. They are generally manufactured from aluminum and high-strength alloys. Their functions include ensuring safe load transfer between supporting surfaces, reducing vibrations, and providing ease during assembly processes.
Their designs may vary depending on the application and can be manufactured in L-shaped, U-shaped, or custom geometries. Within our company, brackets are produced using high-pressure die casting (HPDC) and/or precision machining processes to meet tight tolerance requirements. This ensures high dimensional accuracy, repeatable quality, and long service life.
Timing Chain Covers
An aluminum timing chain cover, manufactured using High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) technology, is a protective component used in internal combustion engines to enclose and safeguard the chain and sprocket mechanism. It is typically located at the front of the engine and protects the timing chain and gears from external contaminants such as dust, dirt, and foreign particles. In addition, it supports the lubrication of the timing chain through engine oil circulation and is used together with sealing elements to prevent oil leakage.
The use of HPDC aluminum casting enables the production of complex geometries with high dimensional stability, excellent surface quality, and consistent mechanical properties. The main reasons for selecting aluminum include:
- Lightweight: Reduces overall engine mass and contributes to improved fuel efficiency.
- Corrosion resistance: Ensures long service life and reliable performance in demanding engine environments.
- Thermal conductivity: Facilitates efficient heat dissipation and supports stable operating temperatures of the timing chain mechanism.
In the design of an HPDC aluminum timing chain cover, precise machining of oil galleries, sealing surfaces, and mounting interfaces is of critical importance. The structural integrity of the casting combined with high-precision machining directly affects the performance, efficiency, and durability of the engine’s timing system.
