22 March World Water Day
The United Nations General Assembly, in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, mentioned the increasing importance of water in the world at the UN Conference on Environment and Development and decided to celebrate March 22 as World Water Day every year. Since March 22, 1993, and every year on March 22 World Water Day, which is celebrated with different themes, about 700 million people will not be able to reach healthy water. Nearly one-tenth of the world's population cannot reach healthy water. This places them at risk of communicable diseases and premature death.
Although our three side though Turkey is surrounded by seas, unlike the imagination is not a water-rich country. In order to increase awareness, we launched the campaign, which “carry our energy to the future.”
