Steptember
Most office workers can only take 3,000 steps a day. Each September, we take 10,000 steps a day to raise awareness for children with cerebral palsy.
What is Cerebral Paralysis?
It’s the most common physical disability in childhood, and it affects more than 18 million people of all ages worldwide.
It’s a physical disability that’s caused by brain damage during pregnancy, birth, or shortly after birth. CP affects movement, coordination, muscle tone and control, reflexes, posture, and balance.
The brain damage that causes CP doesn’t worsen, but the wear and tear of living with CP means that people often experience the disability differently as they age.
